# How to be an independent minimalist ? If you are a minimalist, some articles say that you are very dependent on others: - on friends or family, to borrow things you don't own when you need; - on industry, to provide you with food and shelter and maybe (public) transportation; - on society, to use its infrastructure such as roads, shops, public services (such as libraries); - on (small) businesses to cook for you and service your waste. # The solution: I think it's important to find the sweet spot between dependency on others and accumulating just enough things and skills to become as independent as possible so you can feel you are not a burden to society and you don't exist just because of the hard work of others.
