However for reasons like efficiency and convenience we chose to wear shoes. ## If we chose barefoot - best places are probably sandy beaches and grass areas, but any flat area without a poky surface will be fine. ## If we chose regular shoes with soft and higher sole, arch support - best place is really rocky and rough terrain and if you are jumping a lot or running to get some protection/shock absorption. ## If we chose barefoot shoes with harder and lower sole - you can use these almost anywhere. You'll feel better the ground and all the shapes of it like gravel, sticks, holes, etc. We have many nervous termination in our sole so that information about what we're stepping on is important and using barefoot shoes makes us more in tune with nature around us. # Can barefoot be used in the city or just in nature ? - In the city, on the pavement/cement areas it's very easy to wear barefoot shoes or even go barefoot if you can get off the stigma. - The position of a person who goes barefoot or with barefoot shoes is more natural with the back straight compared to ones wearing shoes and stepping on the hill first.
